The Table at De Meye, a 2023 Eat Out star restaurant, has announced the opening of its second location in the scenic Elgin Valley at Oak Valley Estate this November. The new restaurant, named The Table at Oak Valley, will be a sister restaurant to the iconic Table at De Meye. Owners Leigh and Brendan Thorncroft had considered expanding for some time, and the opportunity presented itself when Oak Valley approached them.
“Opening a second restaurant has always been at the back of our minds, but we wanted to be sure we were ready. We love the property, and it fits perfectly with our style and concept,” says Leigh.
Seasonal Menu and Unique Setting
The new location will occupy the familiar pool room at Oak Valley Estate, previously home to the Eat Out star restaurant The Melting Pot. Head chef Brendan Thorncroft will lead the kitchen, offering a set three-course, sharing-style menu that focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients.
While the menu will reflect the essence of The Table at De Meye, the owners are excited to introduce new dishes using local produce from new suppliers in the Elgin Valley. “We will serve many of our classic dishes that our regular customers love, but we’re also thrilled to create new dishes,” Leigh explains.
In addition to a variety of local wine options, the restaurant will feature Oak Valley’s own wines.
The new location will maintain the same garden ambiance and outdoor dining experience as its sister restaurant, with seating nestled under oak and fir trees, surrounded by the estate’s pear and apple orchards. “This location offers a beautiful dining area by the pool, as well as in the garden,” Leigh adds.
The Table at Oak Valley is set to open in mid-November, with bookings already available. The restaurant will be open from Wednesday to Sunday for lunch service.
