Let’s celebrate Heritage Day

Heritage Day

Heritage Day on 24 September recognises and celebrates the cultural wealth of our nation.
On this day, we as South Africans are encouraged to celebrate our culture and the diversity of our beliefs, traditions, language, food, and our creative expression – a nation that belongs to all its people.

Heritage Day is also celebrated among many South African households with an informal braai. Lighting a fire is in our blood, and standing in circles around the fire comes instinctively, braai signature dishes, enjoying the day with family and friends.
Heritage Day is not only celebrated among South Africans, but also growing internationally among expatriates in the USA, Canada, the UK, Sweden, Taiwan, Dubai, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Australia to name a few.

South Africa will be blazing with braais on 24 September, celebrating Heritage Day with various events staged throughout the country to commemorate this day.
