Verde Vita was a collaborative effort involving local South African firms such as Ohkre Collective for architecture, Phase Three for construction, green consultant André Harms from Ecolution, and Jacoline Wentzel from Spa Warehouse. Together, they ensured that every aspect of the spa was designed with sustainability in mind.
The opening ceremony featured former Miss South Africa, Amy Kleinhans-Curd, who praised the spa’s commitment to sustainability and local sourcing. “It was a delight to discover the wonders of Verde Vita,” she said. “This new establishment is a testament to the growing trend of eco-consciousness in South Africa.”
What Makes Verde Vita Sustainable?
Verde Vita integrates the eco-friendly values of Hotel Verde, offering a luxurious yet sustainable experience. Spa consultant Jacoline Wentzel emphasised local manufacturing for spa equipment, including beechwood massage beds and trolleys, and locally produced linen towels. The treatment menu features South African product ranges that are certified organic or natural, aligning with the spa’s Green Life philosophy.
Facilities and Treatments at Verde Vita
Verde Vita’s therapists are locally sourced and internationally trained, providing an authentic South African experience for all visitors. The spa offers three treatment rooms – Magnolia, Lavender, and Jasmine – which can be converted for couples’ treatments. Additional amenities include an infrared cabin, a manicure and pedicure section, an eyelash extension room, and a post-treatment Breathing Room.
Verde Vita uses South African skincare brands like ESSE, Cashmere & Co., Matsimela, BioSculpture, and SUNSKIN, known for their natural, organic ingredients. Guests can unwind in the serene Breathing Room after their treatments.
