Celebrating its 13th edition, the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Trail Run is set to welcome trail enthusiasts back to the slopes of Table Mountain in 2026. Taking place during the iconic Two Oceans Marathon weekend, the Trail Run offers two exhilarating distance options — approximately 16km and 24km — each showcasing some of the most spectacular and demanding trails in South Africa.
An Exclusive Trail-Running Experience
With each distance capped at just 500 runners, the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Trail Run promises an intimate and highly sought-after experience. According to Two Oceans Marathon NPC Chairperson Chris Goldschmidt, the Trail Run provides participants with a rare chance to explore Table Mountain’s rugged beauty in a controlled and exclusive race environment.
“The ±16km and ±24km trail runs offer participants a rare opportunity to explore the stunning and challenging trails of Table Mountain during the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon weekend,” says Goldschmidt. “This is an intimate and exclusive experience in one of the world’s most breathtaking natural settings.”

General Manager Wade Bromfield believes the Trail Run adds even more excitement to an already vibrant marathon weekend.

Entries Opening Soon – Act Fast
Entries for the 2026 Trail Run open at 12:00 on Tuesday, 20 January 2026. With limited spots available and a first-come, first-served policy in place, runners are encouraged to secure their entry early to avoid disappointment.
