Celebrate Heritage Day with bubbles and a live band at Boschendal

Boschendal

Boschendal is hosting a special concert on Sunday 24 September featuring classic South African songs, with bubbles, wine, and food on offer. The Boschendal Heritage Day Concert will take place at the Rhone Manor House Garden against the spectacular backdrop of the majestic Franschhoek mountains.

Tamara Patel, Chief Marketing Officer at Boschendal, says: “Heritage Day is an opportunity for people from different backgrounds to come together and celebrate the incredible things that make South Africa such a unique and beautiful country. We invite everyone to come and join us for this special day of South African music, farm-fresh food, world-class wines, and an unparalleled setting at one of South Africa’s most historic farms.”

The band of South African All-Stars that will perform at Boschendal’s Heritage Day Concert includes James Stewart of The Usual; John Ellis of Tree63; Sima Mashazi of Mama Africa and Afrika Blues fame; Peter Cohen, who has played with Freshlyground and Mango Groove; and Shaun Johannes, a former band member of Johnny Clegg, Hugh Masekela, Karen Zoid and Jonathan Butler.

These multi-award-winning, chart-topping musicians will play all the favourites from the South African songbook. The setting is perfect for families with a selection of food stalls selling farm-fresh produce and delicious meals, while Boschendal’s award-winning range of wines and sparkling bubbles will add further festivities to the day.

The Boschendal Heritage Day Concert starts at 12h00 and finishes at 16h00. Tickets are R400 per person for adults and R200 for kids under 12. Kids under 5 gain free entry.
