Join us for a memorable ten days at the 13th Hermanus FynArts Festival, a celebration of creativity, culture, and community. Whether you are a solo traveller, a couple, or part of a group, the FynArts Festival is the perfect opportunity to connect with like-minded art enthusiasts in a stimulating, uplifting, and fun-filled atmosphere.
With more than 130 events packed into an exciting programme, the festival offers something for everyone. Immerse yourself in a range of visual arts, from painting and fibre art to ceramics and sculpture. Indulge in world-class musical performances that span genres—classical, Cape jazz, opera, contemporary, and crossover—whether performed solo, by small ensembles, or large orchestras.

For theatre lovers, the festival also showcases ballet and a variety of performances, from light-hearted comedy to thought-provoking drama and interactive shows.
One of the festival’s most anticipated highlights is the Strauss & Co Series, which offers inspiring discussions, interviews, and lectures on arts-related topics. These talks, presented by leading experts, kick off with a compelling discussion on the state of the arts in South Africa, followed by the presentation of the Legacy Award, to honour an artist who has made a longstanding distinctive contribution to the arts in South Africa and beyond. You can also look forward to an intimate, in-depth interview with the internationally renowned festival artist.

Workshops are always a favourite, offering an opportunity to explore new skills in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether you’re a budding creative or a seasoned artist, these workshops foster creativity and provide a social space for you to meet new, like-minded friends.

The culinary experience at FynArts continues to be a festival highlight, with food lovers and top chefs coming together for five exciting interactive chef demonstrations at the FynArts pop-up kitchen at the United Church Hall. Plus, an extended range of workshops will be hosted in private kitchens, offering you the chance to cook alongside the chefs and enjoy the delicious dishes you prepare.
