Since its inception in 2005, Distance For Difference (D4D) has been a beacon of hope for children in need, leaving a lasting impact in the Helderberg and beyond. This dedicated nonprofit organization has consistently worked towards making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children, and their upcoming fundraiser event promises to do just that.
THE500 24hr Cycling and Spinning Challenge 2023 is a bi-annual fundraising event that has become a hallmark for D4D. The 2023 edition, scheduled for October 21 – 22 at Virgin Active Waterstone Village, marks the 6th installment of this remarkable event. Over the years, THE500 has managed to raise close to R3 Million for numerous children’s charities.
The event offers several ways for individuals and organisations to get involved:
Participate in the Event: Join in for a single spinning session, or take on the challenge of spinning for all 24 hours. Form a team with your company, school, or church and occupy a spinning bike for a full day – a fantastic team-building opportunity. For those who prefer the open road, there are 50 km laps available for outside cyclists.
Sponsorship Opportunities: Companies looking for a unique marketing opportunity can sponsor the 25-hour HelderbergFM event broadcast, or sponsor for various event costs.
Spread the Word: Help D4D market the event by sharing the message with your friends, family members, and colleagues.
Distance For Difference (D4D) is more than just an organization; it’s a lifeline for children in need. Over the last fifteen years, D4D has raised and distributed more than R11 million to causes such as Kingdom Kids, Little Angels, Sylvia Foster Home, Tzadokah Foster Home, Ubuntu House, Hagar’s Choice, HELP, Imibala Trust, and many more.
