The Lomond Triathlon, now in its 6th year, will once again take place on 10 December 2022 at the Lomond Wine Estate in Gansbaai.
Participants can swim, mountain bike and trail run through the beautiful fynbos and vineyards of the Lomond Wine Estate and Walker Bay Fynbos Conservancy (WBFC). The Triathlon also offers team entries and 3 kids races for ages from 6-14 years old. On Sunday there will be Open Water Swimming in the dam with 4 distances to choose from. The 5 km, 3 km, Mile (1.6 km) and 500 m swims will offer something for everyone. At the same time, Trail Runners can show what they are made of on the beautiful trails with amazing views of the ocean with a 17 km, 12 km and 5 km fun run/walk.
The Franschhoek Triathlon will take place at the Berg River Dam on 21 January 2023 for the first time, and triathletes from across the country are ready to show their grit at this new triathlon venue. The trails and views on offer will surely not disappoint with Franschhoek as your backdrop. Two distances will be on offer. A shorter (Sprint) and longer (Full) triathlons will be on offer and once again you are able to enter as a team of 2 or 3.
The Series Finale will take place at the picturesque Grabouw Country Club on 25 February 2023. The 3 kid’s races will cater for ages from 6-14. The Sprint event for those who need a bit more time in the pool or in the saddle, and the Full event will be for the racing snakes.
