The Con Spirito Philharmonic Choir and orchestra will present excerpts from operas, operettas and musicals at 19:30 on 3 June at the DRC Uitsig, Ridgeworth, Bellville.
The program features Zanne Stapelberg, Violina Anguelov and Conroy Scott. They will perform arias from The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart), Il Trovatore (Verdi) and the operetta The Merry Widow (Lehar). Also included are the popular songs ‘You’ll never walk alone‘ (Carousel), ‘Climb every mountain‘(The Sound of Music), and ‘Ol’ Man River’ (Showboat).
The audience can also look forward to the magnificent Easter Hymn from Cavalleria Rusticana (Mascagni), and ‘Sing‘ performed by the Durbanville Preparatory choir and Con Spirito. Add to that the haunting Gabriel’s Oboe from The Mission (Morricone) to entertain everyone present.
It promises to be an evening that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Not to be missed, so make sure you get your ticket!
