Cape Town City Ballet (CTCB), in collaboration with the South African Youth Choir, presents a heartwarming fundraising event in support of RX Radio, taking place at the CTCB Studios on 31 October and 1 November 2025. RX Radio, a groundbreaking platform based at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital, is run by children for children and empowers young people to share their voices, tell their stories, and engage with issues that matter to them. As one of the world’s first hospital-based radio stations where children—both with and without chronic conditions—broadcast directly from a healthcare setting, RX Radio gives young people a powerful tool for expression, advocacy, and connection.
CTCB will perform highlights of past and present productions, including an excerpt from Sean Bovim’s Swingtime that will be presented at Maynardville Open-Air Festival in January next year.
The fund-raising event takes place on Friday 31 October 2025 at 7pm and on Saturday 1 November 2025 at 11h30 at the Cape Town City Ballet Studios corner Erin and Lower Burg Road in Rondebosch. Tickets cost R200 per person, payable upon entry. Due to limited space at the venue, all seats need to be secured in advance through the booking form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSePu5CioqPj2jRvx6vbBSzTDoH_HQga-gjWoe8SdqbOK5065w/viewform?usp=send_form
