Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate will host a tribute to Swedish supergroup ABBA, together with a range of other events.
On Saturday, 18 October 2025, the estate hosts “Dancing Queen: The Ultimate ABBA Experience”. The event offers two participation options: a full experience includes a four-course Mediterranean dinner, the tribute show, interactive entertainment and post-show disco party. Alternatively, a show-only ticket includes a welcome drink, the performance and disco party.
Earlier that same day, the popular Sip & Paint workshop returns. Participants receive three hours of guided instruction to create a lagoon-inspired painting, with no prior experience necessary. Spaces are limited and advance booking is recommended.
The season promises an exceptional line-up of tribute performances at the estate. On 8 November, multi-award-winning artist Gareth James takes the stage with his “Legendary Tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival & Smokie”.
Fresh from being crowned Josie CMAs Nashville 2024 Vocalist of the Year, James will have guests singing along to CCR’s swamp rock anthems “Bad Moon Rising” and “Proud Mary”, before switching gears to Smokie’s unforgettable “Living Next Door to Alice”.
The tribute series continues throughout the season with a celebration of country music royalty Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers on 22 November, while December brings a post-Christmas musical gift on 27 December featuring the folk-rock poetry of Cat Stevens and Rodriguez. The estate features its popular community programmes throughout October and for the rest of the year.
The free Benguela Cove Park Run welcomes runners and walkers every Saturday at 08:00 for a scenic 5km route through vineyards and coastal paths, with breakfast available afterwards at Moody Lagoon Restaurant. Pizza & Quiz Sundays continue on 12 October offering small pizza, estate wine and 60-75 minutes of trivia.
Beyond special events, the estate maintains daily offerings including wine tastings, lagoon eco-cruises on the Lady Bonnie pontoon boat, sharing lunches at Moody Lagoon, vineyard safaris, and cellar tours of their gravity-flow winery.
Benguela Cove recently achieved significant recognition at the 2025 Michelangelo International Wine & Spirits Awards, with their Vinography Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 winning Best Wine of Show from 1,335 entries. The wine also secured the Best Cabernet Sauvignon Trophy and Southern Sun Wine Grand Prix award. The estate collected an additional Platinum medal and seven Gold medals across their range.
