The excitement surrounding Africa’s premier road-running event has reached a new high. Organisers of the iconic Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon (TTOM) powered by BYD have announced a major three-year partnership with the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
Beginning in 2027, the agreement brings the race’s central hub and registration experience to one of the continent’s most prestigious convention venues, promising an upgraded, world-class race-week environment for thousands of local and international runners.
A Bigger, Better Space for Race Week
The flagship TTOM Race Pack Collection and Expo will officially take place from Thursday, 01 April 2027 to Saturday, 03 April 2027 at CTICC 1 (Halls 1–4).
The biggest news for participants is the massive expansion in scale. From 2027 onwards, the floor space allocated to the Expo will more than double that of the 2026 event. By taking over Halls 1 through 4, the event solves long-standing space constraints, ensuring that the journey toward the start line begins on a smooth, stress-free note.
This expanded footprint allows for a far broader offering, featuring specialized sections dedicated to road running gear, sports technology, nutrition, and wellness, alongside enhanced interactive spaces for brand partners and exhibitors.
Streamlining the Runner Experience
Every marathon runner knows that race week is as much about energy and preparation as it is about the run itself. With the expanded footprint at the CTICC, participants can look forward to a sleeker, more streamlined journey through race pack collection.
By doubling the floor space, organisers are significantly improving crowd flow and reducing wait times during peak hours. Runners will have ample room to move comfortably, engage with interactive displays, meet fellow athletes, and soak up the unique buzz that makes the Two Oceans Marathon famous worldwide.
