The action begins on Friday, 26 December at 17:30 with a blockbuster clash at Newlands. Defending champions MI Cape Town will host Durban’s Super Giants in a rematch that promises high-octane drama. With superstars like Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan leading the charge, the “Grand Old Lady” of cricket is expected to be at capacity.
League Commissioner Graeme Smith noted that the opening match and the Final have already seen massive demand. This season, the stadium experience goes beyond the boundary with live performances, interactive fan zones, and the return of the famous “Catch R2 Million” competition.
Paarl’s “Pink” Passion at Boland Park
Just an hour’s drive away, the Paarl Royals are preparing to turn Boland Park into a fortress. Known for having some of the most passionate supporters in the league, the Royals’ home games are famous for their family-friendly atmosphere. The Paarl season officially starts on Saturday, 27 December at 17:30 when the Royals take on the Sunrisers Eastern Cape. Notably, Boland Park will also host the high-stakes Qualifier 1 on Wednesday, 21 January.
