Venture Workspace debuts at Cape Town’s Upmarket Riverlands Precinct

South African coworking trailblazer, Venture Workspace, is set to launch its latest serviced offering at Cape Town’s R4.5 billion multi-purpose Riverlands development in February 2025. Once completed, the 2000m² expansion will be the largest and most prestigious workspace within their growing portfolio across Cape Town and Johannesburg. It further shares the precinct with e-commerce giant, Amazon, which has also chosen Riverlands as their official Africa headquarters.

Key Features of Riverlands Development

– 2,000 square metres of two-level P-grade office space, including semi-serviced options for larger operations
– Upmarket Riverlands precinct consists of mixed-use properties, a retail mall, an eco-park, river trails, running tracks and a First Nations Heritage Centre
– Strategic link to M5 highway and within a 10-minute drive of Cape Town’s CBD

Once completed, the 2000m² expansion will be the largest and most prestigious workspace within their growing portfolio across Cape Town and Johannesburg. It further shares the precinct with e-commerce giant, Amazon, which has also chosen Riverlands as their official Africa headquarters.

“Riverlands without question, is the Mother City’s most exciting new growth and investment node,” says Venture Workspace Co-founder, Louis Fourie.

“Blending urban sophistication and natural beauty, it’s a game-changer in terms of world-class facilities and modern living. It underscores the city’s growing prominence as a hub for growth and innovation across the continent.”

The 14-hectare development offers an integrated mix of commercial and residential properties and an upmarket retail centre with riverside restaurants and coffee shops. Developers have carefully incorporated indigenous landscaping within a two-hectare eco-park, along with six kilometres of river trails, running tracks, and a First Nations Heritage Centre.

Venture Workspace’s Vision

“There is a definite gap for upmarket P-grade (prime grade) offices here in Cape Town. Together with Riverlands mega-developer Zenprop, we’re raising the bar in terms of state-of-the-art facilities in a high-value environment,” Fourie adds.

The Venture Workspace Riverlands branch will extend over two levels and offer a variety of coworking spaces, boardroom options, and two social eateries. Phase one of the development comprises 66 serviced offices and four spacious semi-serviced suites to accommodate larger business operations.

“Riverlands endorses wellbeing, community living and work-life alignment, which connects to our Venture Workspace ethos,” says Fourie. “We’ve been working to secure this new office location since 2020 to entice local and international businesses into this flourishing epicentre within arm’s reach of Cape Town.”

Situated on the banks of the rehabilitated Liesbeek River, the site is accessible via all major highways in the area (the N1, N2 and M5 via a new bridge across the Black River). It is less than a 20-minute drive from Cape Town International Airport.

“Whether you’re semi-grating or a digital nomad from abroad, our new Riverlands offices have everything you require to hit the ground running. With heavy hitters like Amazon and prominent South African financiers as your neighbours, this is exactly where business savvy professionals will want to be,” Fourie concludes.
