If you’d like to make a difference in the lives of children whilst spending time outdoors, The Gratitude Run by Distance for Difference (D4D) is the event for you! It takes place on Saturday, 22 October 2022, at the beautiful Lourensford Wine Estate, Somerset West. All funds raised will go towards various children’s charities being supported by D4D.
Whether you’re a runner or enjoy walking, you have three options to choose from. Says Stéphan Pieterse, Founder of D4D: “The 5 km Fun Run/Walk is ideal for young and old as you set your own pace. Bring your four-legged best friend to join in the fun – just remember the leash! The 10 km Trail Run offers one of the most scenic trails running routes in the Western Cape. The last option is a four-hour, 3 km Team Relay Run. Runners enter as a team (3, 4 or preferably 5 members) and run laps of 3 km each (3 x 4 x 5 Team Relay). Indeed, an ideal team-building option for schools and organisations.”
Distance For Difference, is a registered non-profit organisation which, over the last seventeen years, made a significant contribution towards the wellbeing of children in South Africa. They have a solid track record with great governance and amazing people with a passion for making an impact.
