Thulani Fesi 26 years old from Cape Town will be heading to the United States of America in July to perform in front of industry professionals namely; Record labels, Agents, Castings, Managers, Producers, and many more. This will take place in Orlando, Florida at the Applause Rising Talent Showcase. This will be Thulani’s opportunity to launch his career on an international platform and become the star he has always dreamt of being.
Thulani was an Alcoholic Fetal Syndrome baby and he was placed in a children’s home with a mom and 7 other siblings. His “mom” was told that there was not much hope for his future and that he would probably not attend a mainstream school. He’s always had a great love and passion for music. His mom says it was the only thing that would calm him down as a baby. He took part in music during his school career, and it was a dream come true for him when he was accepted into the Drakensberg Boys Choir and attended it from 2004 to 2008.
He had the opportunity to travel around South Africa and traveled overseas to the Netherlands and Austria with them. Thulani now has his Matric and has since studied too.
Thulani took a leap of faith and auditioned at the Hyde hotel in June 2018 where he received a callback to perform at the International Arts Talent Showcase in October that same year. He received an invitation from International talent scout Kim Meyers to attend the Applause Rising Talent Showcase in Orlando, Florida. He then underwent training at two bootcamps under the direction of Regional Director Elsubie Verlinden who he speaks fondly of and says she helped sharpen his skills in preparation for his trip. Thulani says he gained a lot of knowledge and skills around his branding as an artist. He was reminded that no matter your circumstances or statistics, you can make your dream a reality if you go out there and make it work for yourself.
Thulani’s dream is to share his talent with the world and inspire nations. Not just with his voice but by the power of God inside him and the testimony of his life story. He says with that he hopes people wanting to do the same with their lives will be so motivated that they just go for their dreams no matter the cost. If he can do it so can they.
Thualni says he knew he was destined for more and looking back at all his achievements has got him to this point where he is ready to make his mark in the industry.
