Festivalgoers can visit the brand new Kuierbuurt between 29 March and 4 April on the Oudtshoorn Sports Grounds (REC) as well as the Vredestraat Sport Grounds. The festival takes place during the national school holidays and Easter weekend.
Awê Kaktus (29 March) kicks the evening off in a slightly different manner to past concerts; music by Mi Casa, Spoegwolf, Matthew Mole and Majozi promises a wonderful party atmosphere. Kurt Darren, Leah, Craig Lucas, Paxton, Germandt Geldenhuys, Stephanie Baartman and other artists implore fans at kykNET Dans op die vlaktes (30 March).
Adam Tas, Refentse, Joshua na die Reën, Karin Kortjé, Caroline Grace, Gail & Malcolm Arendse and Fatman share a Karoo-nag (31 March) with festivalgoers during a variety concert. Boontoe: Engelstemme (1 April) offers a mix of traditional and secular songs and spirituals that will ensure soul rejuvenating music with Jo Black, Robbie Wessels, André Terblanche, Corlea Botha, Thembeka, Kyle Seconna, the Oudtshoorn High’s Ad Astra choir and orchestra Melissa van der Spuy, Tim Rankin, Henry Steele and Schalk van der Merwe. Sterrenag – Musiek met hart (2 April) brings Snotkop, Jay, Brendan Peyper, Leah, Willem Botha, Pieter Koen, Caroline Grace, Fatman, Lee Scott, Jan Bloukaas, Early B, Vernon Barnard, HemelBesem, Chris Else, Elwira Standili and Gerrie Pretorius together on stage for an unforgettable night under the stars with old and new hits that tell the stories of the heart and soul.
The evening program is concluded with Rymklets van Oos tot Wes (3 April) with HemelBesem, Yoma, Early B, Oxijin, Dj J-EFX, Yugi Yo and MC IXA.
When the evening programme is concluded, festivities continue at the Castle Lager stage. Between the music, the stalls of the Kunsmark offers hours of shopping pleasure and various food stalls, bars and rest areas are available to offer the necessary refreshments.
